Privacy policy
Last updated September 27, 2026Geno helps you manage fantasy hockey teams. This policy says what we collect to do that, why, and what you can do about it. We don’t sell your data or show ads.
What we collect
Your account: your email address and name, through our sign-in provider, Clerk.
Fantasy provider logins: to read your leagues we store the login you give us: ESPN’s SWID and espn_s2 cookies, or your Fantrax Secret ID. They are checked with the provider, then encrypted before they are stored.
League data: the leagues, rosters, matchups, transactions and drafts we sync from your provider, and the settings and decisions you make in Geno (like autopilot modes).
Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, your browser’s push subscription, so we can deliver them.
Basic logs: requests to our servers (IP address, time, the page or API called) to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
Only to run Geno for you: syncing your leagues, planning lineups and adds, making the roster moves you have allowed autopilot to make, and notifying you. Geno makes changes to a team only through the modes you set, and never touches leagues you haven’t switched on.
The browser extension
The Geno extension reads your ESPN login cookies only when you ask it to connect ESPN on Geno’s app, and hands them to that page. It stores nothing, reads nothing else, and runs only on Geno’s app.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run Geno on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (hosting), Clerk (sign-in) and your browser’s push service (notifications). Your provider login is sent only to that provider. We share data if the law requires it, and never for advertising.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your data while your account is open. Disconnect a provider and its login is deleted; delete your account and everything tied to it is deleted within 30 days, apart from logs we must keep for security, which expire on their own.
Cookies
We use only the cookies sign-in needs. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
Geno isn’t meant for anyone under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
